Read is charged with running down John OKeefe and leaving him to die in a blizzard in the town of Canton on Jan. 3rd, 2018.

One of the primary investigators of the homicide of Boston Police Officer John OKeefe said defendant Karen Read downed six mixed drinks in the hours before police say she struck and killed him with her pickup truck and then left him for dead in the snow.
