Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather

Thomas Frederick Donchez, 86, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born on April 20, 1938, in Bethlehem to the late Frederick and Anna (nee Shupp) Donchez. He was a graduate of Liberty High School and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War.

After his military service, Thomas worked as a machinist for Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years. He was a dedicated and skilled worker, and he took great pride in his craft.

In 1962, Thomas married the love of his life, Mary Ann (nee Koch). Together, they raised three children: Thomas Jr., Jeffrey, and Lisa. Thomas was a devoted husband and father, and he always put his family first.

In his spare time, Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, and he loved to travel.

Thomas was a kind and compassionate man, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Services

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Road Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Burial with military honors will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
