Russian Missiles Strike Kyiv

Deadly Attack Kills 31, Damages Children's Hospital

Ukrainian Air Defenses Engaged in Rare Daytime Repulsion

In a shocking turn of events, Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, was struck by a barrage of Russian missiles on Monday, resulting in widespread damage and a tragic loss of life. The attack, the largest and most widespread to hit Kyiv in months, has left authorities reeling from the devastation.

Ukrainian air defenses were immediately activated in an attempt to repel the daytime onslaught, which included the use of at least 35 missiles. Videos captured by Kyiv residents and verified by media outlets show the missiles whizzing through the air, sending plumes of smoke and debris into the sky.

Tragically, the attack has claimed the lives of at least 31 people. Among the fatalities is a young girl who was killed when a missile struck her apartment building. A children's hospital in Kyiv was also partially destroyed in the attack, although no casualties were reported.

The Russian attack has been met with widespread condemnation from the international community. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the attack "an act of terrorism" and urged the world to hold Russia accountable for its aggression.

As the situation in Kyiv remains fluid, rescue workers continue to search for survivors and assess the extent of the damage caused by the Russian missile strikes.
