VARANASI, MAY 16: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Arvind Kejriwal was defeated by Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the high-profile Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency by a margin of over 37 lakh votes.

Kejriwal, whose forehead was smeared with sandalwood paste from the famous Vishwanath temple, conceded defeat in Varanasi and congratulated Modi on his victory.
