Tigers Defeat Florida 18-4 in Game 3 of Championship Series

WEB LSU bounced back in Game 3 of the 2023 Mens College World Series finals to win its 7th national title. The Tigers defeated Florida 18-4 in a winner-take-all game, securing their first national championship since 2009.
LSU had a disappointing performance in Game 2, giving up the most runs ever in a College World Series game. However, they rallied in Game 3, scoring 18 runs on 15 hits. The Tigers were led by Drew Bianco, who went 3-for-5 with 5 RBIs, and Dylan Crews, who had 4 RBIs.
The victory was a special moment for LSU head coach Jay Johnson. In his second season at the helm, Johnson has led the Tigers to their first national championship since Paul Mainieri retired.
The LSU baseball team will commemorate its 2023 National Championship on Wednesday, June 28, with a celebration at Alex Box Stadium. The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is open to the public.
