Almog Meir Jan, a 21-year-old Israeli drummer, has been held hostage by Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip for nearly 150 days. Billboards line Israel's Route 461 outside Ben-Gurion Airport plastered with the infectious smile and twinkling eyes of Almog Meir Jan. Meir was last seen in a video taken by Hamas at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2023, following the Supernova desert rave. He was among hundreds of people who were taken hostage by Hamas on that day when the Palestinian militant group launched a rocket attack on Israel. Meir's mother, Orit Meir, said "I know he won't be first and that just carries on our psychological pain." She continues to plead for her son's release.
